David's new album "Music is the Food of Love" is available now on iTunes, Amazon and all good download stores through VME Records. The CD is available from www.davidmensah.com and CD Baby.
The 2nd single from the album “Independent Woman” was written by David and produced by Coptic who’s worldwide hits include "I need a Girl" for Usher and P. Diddy. The new single "Independent Woman" was released on Monday 8th March 2010.
David has worked alongside and performed with legendary artists such as Jimmy
Cliff, Alexander O'Neal, Beverly Knight, Billy Ocean, Sounds of
Blackness, Estelle, Raekwon(Wu-Tang Clan), Havoc (Mobb Deep) and
Memphis Bleek to name a few.
In addition to the songs that Mensah has written for his debut album, he recorded a song co-written with 3 times Grammy nominee Jonathon Butler, as well as the classic soul cut “Whatever it takes”, co written with Grammy award winning Junior Giscombe and Wayne Brown.
